The Walk The Line Difference
We understand that finding the right place to continue your journey to recovery can be difficult. After searching without success, our Founder Erica established Walk The Line to be the recovery program she had been looking for. Starting with a neuro-based recovery program, we continued the same approach to therapy with orthopedic physical therapy and occupational therapy. Our goal has always been to help our clients achieve their goals for recovery through hard work, innovation, and creativity. We believe you create your own destiny, creating opportunities where others see misfortune.
We will guide you in two areas of therapy:
- Rehabilitative techniques that teach you a new way of performing daily tasks according to your limitations
- Recovery techniques empower you to regain your physical abilities after an injury, surgery, or a debilitating condition. Our recovery process involves a performance-based process or a results-based process.
Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Walk The Line Orthopedic Physical Therapy serves individuals with injuries to the bone, muscle, ligaments, and connective tissues. We can address balance, strength, and functional improvements needed as a result of injuries or deficiencies.

Neuro-Physical Therapy
Our Neuro Physical Therapy program is an activity-based program with a well-defined treatment protocol designed to facilitate recovery of function following neurological injury. We utilize innovation and creativity in applying the Principles of Neuroplasticity with recovery programs designed to promote plasticity and re-establish functional mobility, using tools such as the Surface EMG and Virtual Reality via motion sensor gaming.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy works with clients of all ages who are recovering from an injury, are in pain, or are experiencing cognitive or physical changes due to health issues. Occupational Therapy focuses on your activities of daily living. Whether it is a change in joint motion, vision, headache, cognitive restrictions, your therapist will work with you using the latest techniques and activities that aid with gross/fine motor skills and cognitive functioning, along with state-of-the-art equipment to address vision and reaction time. Your therapist will assess how you are doing certain tasks and help you develop the skills necessary to make tasks easier or less painful to perform.

Our effective recovery program offers customized sessions based on your clients’ individual needs. We welcome clients that are newly discharged from an in-patient program, have been in another outpatient program, or those who feel they are no longer progressing in their recovery and haven’t been actively involved in a recovery program.

The spirit of our community is found in monthly survivor peer groups, in the Community Events program, and in casual information sharing, joking around, and encouragement.
